Posted by on Apr 18, 2016 in Blog |

Last month I graduated as an Ordained Metaphysical Minister. This milestone is another continuing educational step for me toward a much broader, deeper purpose as I progress toward 2020 – the year of clear vision. It’s both humbling and...

My 2016 One-Word Divine Intention

Posted by on Dec 29, 2015 in Blog |

Every year about this time I reflect back on what lessons the year has brought me, how I responded, how I grew personally/professionally, and what I desire to improve in the coming year. It’s at this time I choose a one-word Divine Intention that acts as a theme throughout the coming new year in all areas of my life: mind, body, emotion and spirit. This one-word often drives my personal and professional goals.  I’ve done this instead of a resolution, because it works well for me and many people whom I’ve coached or use the same strategy have found it to be highly effective for them too. Let’s just be real … resolutions are forgotten within weeks, so why continue to set them? My 2016 one-word Divine Intention is  …   NATURAL What does this mean, and how will I interlace it into all areas of my life? In some ways I have already been moving toward a “natural” lifestyle over the course of a few years. However, in 2016 I’ll be welcoming more naturalness into my life. Because I have slowly been experiencing the rewards of going (and growing) naturally, I’m ready to evolve my life outside of the bubble and naturally allow it to play out fully. Here’s what I mean …   Natural Mind & Emotion Going with the flow to naturally grow deeper, wider and higher into my authentic self regardless of what is going on around me, and who thinks or says what about me. I intuitively know that what other people think or say about me is simply a reflection of themselves and a part of themselves they have not yet accepted. Allowing others to be who they are and knowing it has nothing to do with me. Then naturally letting it play out as it was meant to BE. Allowing others to be in my life, or BEing okay if they are not. I intuitive know that nothing is forever, and I meet people to exchange some form of energy that teaches us both something. Some stay for a lifetime and some don’t; I’m okay either way. I’ve found that those relationships that have grown naturally are the most lasting. Letting go naturally and with ease any emotional attachments to material items, concepts, beliefs, environments and relationships that are not serving me. Natural Spirit Naturally moving forward with ease and grace into further mind-body-spirit education and experiential practices, so I may help myself and others free themselves from the grip of the “unnatural” cycle. For me, life is an ebb and flow. When I live my life outside of the bubble, well …  life happens, and I’m open to naturally ‘feeling’ what comes...

2016 One-Word Divine Intention

Posted by on Dec 20, 2015 in Blog | 1 comment

It’s that time of year when we reflect on the previous year, and create personal intentions of what we want to create the coming year. Choose one word that best describes what you want to create. Why choose “one” word? Most people create a long list of resolutions and never stick with it. Within a few months their list is forgotten. However, choosing one word and incorporating it into our every day life in ALL areas of our life over a full year, works incredibly well for many. If “intention” doesn’t feel right to you, then consider it a theme you will follow throughout the year. I honestly cannot remember where I heard about this personal challenge (likely a book from the mid 90s), but I’ve done it every year since that time. Remember the mantra, “How you do anything is how you do everything.” This is a quote from one of my leadership mentors, the late Brian Klemmer. And the word I’ve chosen over the years has interestingly played a significant role in many areas of my life: mind, body, spirit, emotion, relationships, family, friends, finances, etc. For example, my word in 2011 was ‘move’. What this means to me and how it covered many areas in my life: Move my body, move my mind, move forward on personal goals, move into and beyond my dreams, move out things not working, move relationships closer, move projects to completion, move closer to God/source, and move to a warmer climate. To learn more about the process, and see a list of my one-word Divine Intentions from back into the mid 90s (perhaps to spark something within you), see my post from last year: http://www.susanabramsmilligan.com/set-divine-intention-2015/ I’ve been quite clear about my word for 2016 for some time now, and will be posting it after...

Your Uniqueness Has Value

Posted by on Aug 28, 2015 in Blog |

Always be mindful that your value has no-thing to do with anyone’s thoughts, opinion about you, nor their actions toward you. Your value has no-thing to do with your net worth, network, job title, level of authority, education status, or possessions. Living in a comparative reality takes you further away from your ‪#‎authentic‬ self. Just because everyone else is doing _______ (fill in the blank), doesn’t mean it’s right for you, and if anyone doubts that, it isn’t you that they are doubting. They are doubting themselves, because they still seek validation from the outside to build confidence. Confidence is only built from within. Confidence built from outside of you will always be temporary, which requires you to seek more validation from others. It’s a vicious cycle that creates unhappiness even in people who attempt to hide it by overcompensating, ie. ultra competitive, loud and aggressive.  ‪#‎coaching‬ We have all heard people say to follow the crowd, be a team player, or to emulate someone else, however, they only say that because someone told them that was the best way to be in life. They believed it without checking in with their own intuition. They may not even realize they have intuition because someone told them it wasn’t real or didn’t matter. But you see, trying to be someone else isn’t BEing Life at all. It’s playing small, because it’s taking you further away from your #trueself. It’s great to learn from people who we trust, respect and who stretch us to be greater, and of course to support a team of truly trustworthy people. However, take what you learn from others that serves you and leave the rest behind. Celebrate who you are! Your uniqueness has value and it is in that unique part of you that you begin to spiritually evolve and inspire others to grow and step into their own unique self. #spiritualintelligence...

Own Your Self Worth

Posted by on May 1, 2015 in Blog |

You don’t have to look for self worth. You already have it. Once you accept that you have value, you don’t have to continue to prove it to yourself or anyone else. You see, the problem is that you may be dependent on things/people outside of them to raise you up which creates the illusion of happiness. If so, this isn’t serving you. YOU were meant to own your value instead of having others prop you up – temporarily – until you have to do something again to get another fix. Depending on others to prop you up creates an obsessive dependence on outside stimulus and continual validation that you have ‪#‎value‬. It separates you from you, and moves you father away from your ‪#‎trueself‬. Own your value. Operate on your own self esteem that was built with your own intuition. You know far more than you think you know. No one else can possibly know you better than you know you. They may think they do, but it’s all based on their own life perspective. Learn to ‪#‎trust‬ yourself by building ‪#‎confidence‬. The catalyst to building confidence and understanding your true value is strengthening your ‪#‎intuition‬. <3 ‪#‎truth‬ Subscribe to the “BEing Spiritually Intelligent” newsletter:...

Wisdom is the Living Form of Knowledge

Posted by on Apr 28, 2015 in Blog |

Reading and talking about what you read isn’t enough. It’s just the process of collecting more data and knowledge. When you live the knowledge you collect on a daily, consistent basis, you develop wisdom. Would you hire a pilot to take you from NY to CA who had only read the manual and talked about it? Would you agree that it wouldn’t matter how enthusiastic he was about his reading or how many books he read about it? Would you seek the service of a surgeon who had only read a book about surgery and talk about what he read? I think not. Wisdom is the living form of knowledge – always and in all ways. Please share this post with your friends to raise awareness and global...
